In version 7.1 of the Media Manager, Avid introduced the ability to save templates in the EDL Manager.  These templates store a set of options that can easily be recalled each time you want to output an EDL.  You can ensure a good EDL by simply using the Victory Studios Prereader template.  This template will load the settings necessary for us to generate a good EDL, using Software Grille's Pre!Reader program.

To use the template, first download this.  Then put the file here in the directory tree;

• Macintosh HD
  • EDL Manager
    • Settings
      • EDL_User_Settings

     

Be sure to name the file "THE VICTORY STUDIOS PREREADER SETTINGS".
